Its only the management instance.<\/p>\n But you will be logged out for one or two minutes. Log in again an check your Version.<\/p>\n Update IO Modules\u00a0(Subordinate)<\/strong><\/p>\n Now its important to grab your Subordinate IO Modules. Normally the IO Module 1 is connected to FI (A). But double check your Cables before<\/em>\u00a0\ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n BTW: Cross cabeling is not supported!<\/p>\n Select your IO Module and hit Update (Not Activate<\/strong>)<\/p>\n \n This took about < 10 minutes in my case.<\/em><\/p>\n Activate IO Modules<\/strong>\u00a0(Subordinate)<\/strong><\/p>\n When your update is complete, you can activate them now. Check the “Set Startup Version Only”<\/p>\n \n Activate FI (Subordinate)<\/strong><\/p>\n This is the most critical step. Your multipathing have to work correctly now \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n In my case I\u00a0had some more\u00a0troubles with this firmware\u00a0 2.2(3d)\u00a0BUG63966<\/a>\u00a0because the FI reboots and comes up uncofigured. Cisco TAC Support fixed that in an 6 hour call ….<\/p>\n But back to normal upgrade.<\/p>\n You have to pick also your Subordinate FI and choose the lastest version available. Your FI reboots\u00a0about 20-30 minutes. Be\u00a0patient and no worrys about the alerts the you will see \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n \n Here I\u00a0lost my Fibrechannel link<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n After the upgrade of the FI, it came\u00a0up, but the FC link didn’t.<\/p>\n You can see this failures in the MDS Log:<\/p>\n I make it short, to fix this you should take care about the vsan trunking setting. Your FI reboots\u00a0about 20-30 minutes.
